Hebrews 10:25 “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Since one of the major purposes of church is encouragement, it is important to offer such opportunities and to come with the mindset to fulfill God’s Word. Our very presence and faithfulness to church activities is the springboard for encouragement to other believers of a dedication and commitment to God and His Word.
Here are a few ways you might consider participating in the ministry here at Meridian along with certain department heads. Please consider partnering with the ministry by contacting one of these people to see how you might fit!
* These men have several responsibilities – some of which include: greeting folks as they arrive with a smile & a bulletin, helping visitors get settled in, monitoring the foyer during the services, and locking up after church.
* These ladies coordinate fellowships and all that intails.
* These ladies rotate throughout the year to make sure that our Remembrance Table as well as other parts of the facility contribute to worship.
* A couple of Saturday mornings per month during the warmer months, we work systematically through Newton to connect with people to share the Gospel. Some people are not comfortable with knocking on doors – we also provide door hangers with Gospel information to be left on the door without knocking.
