LUNCH TIME / BEFORE SCHOOL BIBLE CLASS

OUR PROGRAM

For 100 years, Newton Weekday Bible School has provided a program of Biblical instruction for children in our Newton school system. Our program seeks to teach the children of Newton the truth about the Bible while calling them to faith in Jesus Christ as their only hope for salvation. Once a week, first- through sixth-grade students, who are permitted by their parents, are escorted to nearby churches to learn the life-changing principles of the Bible. No exclusive denominational teaching is presented; and no child will be excluded due to religion, race, gender, national origin, or economic status.

OUR ORGANIZATION

Newton Weekday Bible School functions under the oversight of a board comprised of pastors and lay persons from participating churches. Their purpose is to oversee the course of study, general conduct of classes, qualification of teachers, and involvement of the local churches. Newton Weekday Bible School teachers and assistants are screened volunteers from area churches. USD373 requires each volunteer to obtain a “Secure Volunteer” ID card which is issued after a background check.
